Tucked inside an old mill building in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, the NATURAWL Studio is a small maker's space and shop for thoughtfully crafted goods, seasonal finds, and the comforts of home.

The train still runs just behind the building, a little reminder of the town’s mill history and the many lives that have passed through this place before us. There is something about hearing it rumble by while working in the studio that makes the space feel especially connected to Stafford’s past.

Inside, NATURAWL is arranged more like a home than a traditional shop. You might find hand-dipped beeswax candles hanging nearby, pantry goods, wooden tools, heirloom toys, gathered books, natural home goods, and seasonal pieces made in small batches.

Some things are made by hand, others are collected slowly, chosen because they are useful, beautiful, thoughtfully made, or feel like they belong in a home that values simple traditions.

The space is small but that is part of the charm. A place to wander, discover something meaningful, and bring home a little piece of the season.
